Corvette c5 inox from 2001, recorded with zoon h4n at 24/96, stereo. Car start, accelerate, run r/l and l/r, stop the engine, start again,comes near the h4 in a fixed point, accelerate , screeches, run, stops and close the door.
Recorded using a 1974 mgb sports car. Mic placed on passenger floorboard. Sound of start, idle, accelerating and going through gears, steady state (can be edited and looped for longer scenes) and coast down and shut off. Very throaty sound recorded in-cabin which would be period correct for british cars of that era and useful for in-car scenes behind dialog.

Trying to start my dads formula ford race car, its a lola 1600cc from 1984. The car has won the world championship, back in the days. After standing still for half a year, the old lady didnt want to wake up easy. But, shes alive!!! still quite grumpy lol the ignition was not set up properly, so the old gall was spitting flames!! if you listen carefully you can hear the popping and banging of the explosions in the tailpipe :)recorded with my phone.

Hot-rod v-8 engine start and drive away with ambiance of summernats 25 car festival in background. Recorded with tascam dr-05 6jan2012 streetside where continuous streams of all sorts of hot-rods, custom cars, rat-rods, race cars, odd cars, party wagons etc cruise the ring road on the festival grounds.
In the morning, at 8:30, i was waiting for my friends near the road of pont major in girona, and i recorded the noise of cars passing by and the birds singing, that was really beautiful and sunny start of the day! :).

This sound was made by me, i tied down my canon powershot a460 digital camera inside the engine bay of my 1993 rover 620si, and it's got a petrol honda engine, no turbo on this version. I had my video recording on my camera in the engine bay while i was driving. I started the engine up and took it for a drive. I simply took the sound off the video. Think of a fighter pilot driving up in his mg car to the airfield in battle of britain; yeah, that kind of scene!.

A car engine startup recording with lom (slovakian microphone manufacturers) omnidirectional microphone ("ucho"). If by chance i gain access to stereo diaphragm mikes of good quality, the re-take of this will be of higher quality. I intended to use this for gta sound modding and for general car ignition noises. For anyone curious, this is a second-hand honda accord (2006) saloon's engine revving, the person revving this vehicle is one of my friends starting it up who i asked kindly if i could record it.

These were recorded in my driveway. 2011 honda element, waliking to car, starting it, backing down driveway, driving back up driveway, stopping car and walking away.
